The student lounge is a great place to be
Come hang out with us
At the top of the stairs at student central, and above the cafes, you'll find our student lounge.
Everyone is welcome to come and chill for a while.
It's right next to our office reception and we'd love to meet with you.
The lounge has:
- sofas, bean bags and cafe style seating
- a pool table (cues can be requested from ASA reception)
- a foosball table
- a piano
- recycled book swap
Opening hours
The lounge is open from 8am-8pm 7 days a week.
Clubs sometimes book the lounge for their events.
ASA use the lounge for meetings, workshops, award ceremonies etc.
Recycled book swap
We've a book shelf stacked with books that you can borrow.
The idea is that you donate a book you've already read and take one away to read that someone else has donated.
And so the cycle continues.
This is for novels only, no text books.
Piano
If you like to twinkle the ivories, we've a piano you can play.
Please be considerate of others who are using the lounge or working in the office.
The same tune is ok a couple of times, but we don't want to listen to it on auto-repeat.
Wellbeing Cafe
The hot drinks are on us.
We have the urn out and you can make yourself a coffee/tea or hot chocolate.
Bring your own cup though as we've gone eco-friendly.
Booking the lounge
Affiliated clubs can apply to book the lounge for their events by completing a room booking form. (Refer clubs pages).
