Te Waka o ngā Akonga Māori (TWONAM)

Whānaungatanga, Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga and Rāngatiratanga

TWONAM provides Māori tauira with academic advocacy, guidance and with a place to study while being immersed in Māori culture.

The Māori Student Association building, known as the Whare is located on the Oteha Rohe campus (Building 100). 

The Whare provides study rooms, computers, and a kitchen, to help facilitate a positive study environment. The Whare is a place where tauira can be surrounded by like minded people, who know the same struggles and can help one another achieve their academic goals.  We want every Māori tauira to be part of our whānau.
