Meet the 5-member team, who will be representing Massey University to compete for the University Challenge NZ 2016 TV Show in Wellington, in 2 weeks time!

Jessica Montgomerie tendered her resignation as Social Vice-President during the executive meeting held on 15th July. As more than half of the term had been served, the executive committee decided not to run a by-election for the position. 

The tickets have arrived for the ASA Venecian Masquerade Ball being held on 26th August.

As per the rules of the Association, following the resignation of Asman Umjad and the promotion of Lance Walsh, James Edley was offered and has accepted the psotiion of general representative on the ASA Executive team. 

The ASA executive accepted the resignation of Usman Amjad as Administration Vice-President at their meeting on 13th May 2016.  Lance Walsh was promoted to this role.

Whilst we needed to remove a few votes made by non-Albany based students, the results remained unchanged. The new team are looking forward to making a difference for you in 2016.

Preliminary election results were released today.

The nominees for the 2016 Executive Committee have been finalised and are as follows:

Voting for candidates in the ASA Election has been postponed for 1 week and will now occur between 25th and 30th September. 

Due to insufficient nominations being received to fill all positions on the ASA Executive for 2016, the nomination period has been extended and will now close on Friday 11th September. Get involved, join Team 16 https://asa.ac.nz/executive/elections

The ASA annual general meeting has been postponed from Wednesday 22nd July until Wednesday 5th August. Documentation will be posted soon on the official documents page.

Following legislative changes, there is a new legal framework for university governance.  The Massey University Council has revised its constitution in light of these changes and students are urged to attend a meeting- student lounge at 12pm on Friday 24th April.

Nominations have been received for the positions of International Students' Representative and Men's Welfare Representative. Check out our elections page for more information.
