AMESS - Rubber Duck Scavenger Hunt

AMESS - Engineering Society (2022/R4)

The scavenger hunt was another outstandingly successful event, we purchased 300+ rubber ducks which were hidden around both main and AV campus over the course of a week. We had over 60 students participate actively and over 100 students get involved passively.  We gave out 500 packs of Haribo Gummy Bears which were warmly welcomed by students. We gave out some of our best prizes yet as shown below. We are really proud of the event and can see this being repeated next year.

Our duckie mascot was an adorable addition to the hunt, which students around campus saw and got more involved.

We interacted with multiple teams as we were hiding the ducks which allowed us to expand our club membership as well as gaining more contacts on main campus. The ASA Exec also had a lot of fun participating with Jake and Michaela posting on their personal stories and spreading the word.

This event was extremely successful and had students messaging us asking for a potential Halloween Hunt (which the ASA has taken over) and asking to continue the hunts in the coming years by making it a tradition.
