AMESS Hot & Cold Ones Challenge

AMESS - Engineering Society (2022/R5)

The aim of this grant was to host our annual Hot Wing event inspired by the show Hot Ones. We purchased tens of kilograms of chicken wings and prepared them with a range of sauces increasing on the Scoville unit scale. The challenge increases in spice difficulty as it progresses. This provided students a good opportunity to socialize and enjoy themselves as they all experience the event together. The format of the event was altered from the previous year to be more casual instead of a hard set competition which created a more relaxed atmosphere. This year we also included “Cold Ones” which was us providing ice cream sundaes to help with the aftermath and as a nice treat for everyone. The event was a huge success and students had a great time.
