Rock Climbing Club get some added training

Massey University Albany Rock Climbing Club (2019/R6)

Through CSGC's support, MUARCC was able to provide professional training to our members in the discipline of lead climbing. This is where the climber clips themselves into the wall as they climb, rather than being supported by a rope from above. Now that they have the skills and licences to lead climb, a vast new range of climbing routes have become available at the gym, along opening the option to climb outdoors, where this style is predominant.

Now that the worst of winter has passed, we look forward to going on weekend outdoor climbing trips down to the Waikato, whilst also continuing to climb twice a week at local gyms.
