AMESS presents: DisOrientation

AMESS - Engineering Society (2019/R1)

Every year AMESS hosts an event to welcome the new Engineering and Food Technology students.

The day started off with an introduction to the staff and the facilities before meeting each other during two team building challenges. The first was an egg drop challenge which required the new students to design and build a system to protect and egg from a two story drop onto concrete. Sadly, only two eggs survived the challenge, with one of the teams risking it all, placing the bag inside jackets inside a bag.

The day concluded at Long Bay Regional Park where everyone enjoyed pizza followed by a tug of war competition, dodgeball and a swim for those brave enough to test the temperature of the water.
