Changes to parking on Albany campus

In preparation for building works to commence for Massey's innovation complex on Albany campus, there have been some changes to car parking. The car park in front of the Atrium building that used to be reserved for car pool has been closed.

Car park 1D, middle crescent, opposite the Ferguson Bar, will now be the Car pool car park and can only be used by students who have purchased car pool cards. Remember 2 people must be in the car each time you use the car park and each person must have a car pool card that is displayed on the dashboard. A new, temporary car park off Albany Highway, opposite Albany Senior High School, has been made available to ease the pressure created by the removal of car parks and growth in student numbers. It's a 10 minutes walk to either the East Precinct or Oteha Rohe via the campus walkway. However, because of lighting, it will only be available during winter months from 8am to 6pm.

The campus shuttle bus that runs between Oteha Rohe, the East Precinct and Albany Village throughout the day will now include the new temporary car park in its route. The service runs between 7.35am (departing East Precinct) and 6.10pm (departing Oteha Rohe) with one or two circuits every hour. Details are on the Massey University app and displayed at the bus stops.

Parking is also available in general parking areas at Gate 4, Albany Highway on the Oteha Rohe campus. This does not include numbered and allocated staff spaces, which are strictly enforced.

Mobility spaces

Two new mobility spaces have been established in car park 1D. These are the best located spaces available until the Sir Neil Waters extension is completed later this year, with additional parking and mobility spaces provided behind this building.

Alternative parking and transport

Overflow paid parking is also available at QBE Stadium, car park H, entry from Coliseum Drive. Charges are $1 per hour, capped at $5 per day.
