University Challenge Team announced

Meet the 5-member team, who will be representing Massey University to compete for the University Challenge NZ 2016 TV Show in Wellington, in 2 weeks time!

Team captain Meghan deBlanc-Knowles, is in her 4th year of Veterinary Science studies in the Manawatu campus.

Emileen Chan, a well-rounded candidate, is studying a Bachelor of Zoology in her third year in the Albany campus.

Mariliza Katsikopoulou from the Albany campus, a connoisseur in Literature, studies a Bachelor of Arts - Anthropology and Media Studies.

Aden Cooper studies Marketing and Philosophy in the Albany campus, is a quick-witted and a knowledgeable candidate.

Brandon Jones, from the Manawatu campus, is studying a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Statistics. A very intelligent and well-read member of the team.

Besides the 5 members, we are pleased to have Paula Villasenor, who studies Engineering in Albany, to join us for the training sessions. We would love to see her competing next year for University Challenge!

The team are lucky enough to have the support of 2015 team member, Kaleb Anderson and are being coached by Dr Brian McDonnell.  ASA Executive member, Adelyn Soh, Kaleb and Dr McDonnell will also travel to Wellington to support the team.
